Graduate of the National Holistic Institute in Redding CA and a firm believer in the power of holistic health care, I am so grateful for this work. Varying massage modalities and techniques allow us to work with specificity and intention and affect change in the body that facilitates healing. Balance is key; in all aspects of life and the body requires balance to function and to heal. The musculature tug of war on our bones and other structures within the body varies considerably from person to person depending, in part, upon how the body is used. The resulting postural deviations (i.e., imbalances) result in pain and discomfort that over time can deeply effect our livelihood. That’s not to mention the chemical and emotional factors that both contribute to and are the result of these imbalances. My focus, as a massage therapist, is to help restore balance with physical manipulation techniques, directly lengthening shortened chronically tight muscles and/or muscle groups while strengthening chronically weakened one’s. As well as addressing the resulting physical trauma to the musculature, like adhesions (trigger points) and circulatory distress within the joints and surrounding tissues. The body does the rest! It’s simple. People love a good massage and for good reason. There’s no denying the pain relief and overall well-being that is had as a result of a good massage.
